Are you ready to re-claim your life?
Hi! I’m James Bernard and I am a personal development and business coach, I work with budding entrepreneurs, start up business leaders, and individuals who know there’s a better life waiting for them and they just don’t know how to get there, and I help them reclaim their life and build their dream.

“It’s never too late to learn,” wrote Malcolm Forbes, the money magnate. “I learned to ride a motorcycle at 50 and fly balloons at 52.”
I have always been fascinated in what makes people tick, why do they do the things they do, and why they believe the things thy believe. I just love to study people and human behaviour. I can sit in cafes and watch people all day – and sometimes I do! In coaching I get to do that and more. I get to help people through life’s rich tapestry. I work with them to overcome things they consider problems and hurdles, which for me, is just awesome.
“The only permanences in this world are God and change” ~ James Bernard
Lawrence Peter wrote, “If you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll probably end up somewhere else.”
On this website I will be delivering valuable content at least once a month to help the reader/listener see the value of change and move forward. I will start with some basics and move onto some more in-depth topics.
In my spare time I play the guitar and harmonica – sometimes together when there’s no-one in the house. I’ve dived in the Red Sea, and off the coast of South Africa dived with sharks without a cage and lived to tell the tale! I also like to read a little and probably drink too much coffee, and yes I can hear some of you “how can you have too much coffee!”, I know, it’s a bit like saying too much chocolate! But hey, its all a matter of perspective!
And here’s the bio bit: I was born and dragged up in London and the South East of England. I served five and a half years in the British Army (R.E.M.E.) as a soldier and technician. I’ve since worked for British Telecom, Boeing Defence Australia, been self employed and formed and run my own businesses, two of which I sold on. Now living in Melbourne, Australia, I’m happily married to a beautiful and supportive wife and have one boy in tow, and hoping for a few more!
