What are you going to do today?
What are you going to do today that will move you towards your goals?
What are you going to do today that will help you acheive your goals and move you towards your vision?
Do you have a vision?
Do you know where you want to be in 5 years time? In 10 years time?
What do you want to do when you retire (if your retire)? Are you planning for it now?

I know, loads of questions and no answers! But, you have the answers, I don’t!
I do have, through, a process that makes answering the questions easier, and therefore making for future clearer.
And it’s about writing it down. Over the next week or two I will be explaining how I create a vision, mission, passion and goals that get me to where I want to be. There are many ways to do this and if you hunt on the internet you’ll find them. My way is a process that I know works. This framework has built in flexibility for wherever you are in life, still in education, or nearing that time of winding down a little. It can be as big or as small as you want.
The Writing.
I always suggest writing with paper and pen. The action of writing with paper and pen has been shown to build the neural pathways for remembering and learning.
The Framework
The first part of planning your day usually starts the day before. And it goes like this:
- Make a list (or two)
- Prioritse – what’s the most important
- Allocate time – how long will each item take
- Schedule – put it in the calendar/diary
It may take a while to start with, but like with most things, it gets easier and quicker to more you do it until it becomes second nature.
Part 2 coming soon.
